Parks & Recreation Areas
Jackson County has a surprising array of park and reception
areas to showcase its scenic beauty: two state parks, nearly 30 county
parks and recreation areas, one federal and three state recreation areas.
Along most of Jackson County's eastern border is the Upper
Mississippi Fish and Wildlife Refuge. Slicing through the county is the
scenic Maquoketa River. Nearly every town and village has a community
park as well.
Boat Harbors: Island City Harbor, Sabula; Point
Pleasant, Bellevue; Spruce Creek Park, Bellevue.
Note: Modern Camping includes water, electricity, showers, & dump
station.
